About this camp
Develop writing skills at the Young Writers' Camp, a day program for students aged 10-14 in Raleigh, NC. Taught by Meredith College English Department faculty, participants engage in creative writing exercises, discussions on characterization and dialogue, and individual writing sessions. The curriculum includes one-on-one instructor conferences, peer feedback, and a field trip to the NC Museum of Art for visual art-inspired writing. The program concludes with a reading for family and friends, showcasing participants' work and fostering a supportive literary community.
