About this camp
The Young Writers Program in Lincoln, NE, offers intensive day training for teens focused on writing development. Participants engage in workshops covering slam poetry, fiction, non-fiction, fantasy, mystery, song-writing, poetry, memoir, and screenwriting. Guidance is provided by professional writers, professors, teachers, and undergraduate interns. Each participant works one-on-one with a writing mentor, contributes to a YWC Anthology, and presents their work at a public reading. Scholarships are available.
