Camp Ohiyesa offers both day and resident summer camps for youth, attracting campers from Oakland, Livingston, Washtenaw counties, and the wider metro region for its Sunday to Friday resident sessions. Located on 300 acres overlooking Fish Lake in western Oakland County, the camp features 15 traditional wood cabins, each with 14 bunks, fully enclosed with electricity, doors, and windows. During overnight camp, girls and boys stay in separate villages, with age groups separated by cabin and two counselors per cabin. Restrooms and showers are a short walk from the cabins. The camp focuses on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. It is accredited by the American Camp Association, meeting over 300 standards for health, safety, and program quality. Meals, served in the Sillman Lodge, consist of hearty American fare with options like French toast, grilled cheese, pizza, and a full salad bar. The kitchen accommodates special dietary concerns and the facility is peanut-free. Camp Ohiyesa can house 260 campers and counselors, and its history dates back to 1918. The camp's name, Ohiyesa, means "always wins" in Dakota and honors Dr. Charles A. Eastman, a Sioux leader
