About this camp
The Southern Maryland Sailing Association (SMSA) offers a youth sailing day camp in Solomons, MD for ages 8-16. Campers learn fundamental sailing skills, including rigging, steering, and seamanship, with a strong emphasis on water safety. Instruction uses Optimist dinghies for younger sailors and 420s for older participants. All sailing instruction is provided by US Sailing certified instructors, focusing on skill development and a positive introduction to the sport.
