About this camp
Children ages 6-13 engage directly with marine science through Sea Camp - USM Marine Education Center in Ocean Springs, MS. Participants explore coastal salt marshes aboard the university educational vessel, the Miss Peetsy B. Activities include educational experiments, outdoor water games, fishing, crabbing, seining, and sieving. Field trips to local beach habitats further enhance learning. This marine program integrates educational art projects to reinforce marine science lessons. With over 35 years of history, this day program focuses on marine education, providing a substantive learning experience for future marine scientists. Scholarships are available.
