About this camp
Sail Salem provides sailing training for individuals aged 8-18 in Salem, MA. This program introduces sailing right from Salem Harbor, utilizing Optimist dinghies for younger participants (ages 8-12). All instructors are First Aid/CPR certified, background checked, and hold US Sailing Level 1 certification, ensuring a focused learning environment. Safety protocols are integral to the program, including a swim test on the first day and required US Coast Guard Approved Life Jackets. Staffing levels exceed required lifeguard ratios. Financial assistance is available to support access to the program.
