About this camp
Rhode Island Hockey offers a specialized skill-development clinic in Kingston, RI, focused on body contact and checking for USA Hockey players. This training program is designed for athletes aged 11-14, with age-specific sessions tailored for 2014/2015 and 2012/2013 birth years. Participants will learn to safely and effectively use body contact within game rules, controlling play and the puck. The clinic targets 11-12 year olds to build comfort with body usage and 13-14 year olds to develop confidence in safely finishing checks. All sessions are held at Boss Arena on the University of Rhode Island campus, and the program is run by Rhode Island Hockey board members and experienced coaches.
