About this camp
Develop sailing skills at North Lake Sailing School in Hartland, WI. This program offers specialized sailing training for ages 5-16. Participants learn essential sailing techniques, fostering sportsmanship and teamwork on the water. Training includes Opti (Optimist) classes for ages 5-15 and X Boat classes for ages 11-16. Specific Learn to Sail Opti programs are available for ages 7-12. Additionally, a dedicated 4th of July Week program caters to Optis or X Boats for ages 7-16. Beyond youth programs, North Lake Sailing School also provides sailing classes for adults, emphasizing comprehensive instruction for all skill levels.

Past sessions
This 4-day summer camp runs from June 29 to July 2, 2026, for new and experienced sailors aged 7-16. Camp classes will be customized to reflect the abilities of campers and include use of a rental boat.
Learn more / RegisterAn Opti is sailed by a single sailor between the ages of 5 and 15. This class is designed for beginners, teaching parts of the boat, rigging, sailing basics, and eventually race courses.
Learn more / RegisterThis class is for 11-16 year old sailors interested in learning to sail a two-person X boat. Prior experience is not necessary, as sailors will learn boat handling basics and be introduced to racing.
