About this camp
This camp is run by Buffalo Audubon, an independent organization and chapter affiliate of the National Audubon Society, established in 1909. Buffalo Audubon’s office headquarters, Trillium Nature Center, is located at Beaver Meadow Nature Preserve in North Java, NY. The organization connects individuals with birds and the natural world through bird-focused activities, advocacy, and habitat restoration. Buffalo Audubon offers nature education programs and immersive nature experiences for people of all ages, aimed at fostering environmental stewardship in the next generation. Membership provides discounts on programs, parking, nature camps, and cabin rental. Activities include onsite visits to the Nature Center, exploring new trails, meeting educational animals, and learning in the updated Nature Center. Past sessions
Explorers camp encourages guided exploratory growth through nature using all five senses. Campers will record their experiences and explorations in a take-home nature journal. For campers who have completed Kindergarten, 1st, or 2nd grade.
