About this camp
High school students interested in film can attend the MSU Filmmakers Camp in East Lansing, MI. Participants, aged 14-18, will learn to develop storylines and gain hands-on experience with shooting, lighting, and editing. All necessary film equipment is provided, and the camp runs as a day program from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The curriculum focuses on the practical aspects of filmmaking, from script development to polished film production. The week culminates in a screening event on Friday at 4:30 PM in B122 Wells Hall, showcasing the work produced by the campers.
