Rising high school juniors and seniors (ages 16-18) interested in STEM can explore metallurgical and materials engineering through this week-long residential program. Located in Butte, Montana, the Montana Tech Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Program provides hands-on learning in materials labs, supplemented by field trips to local industrial operations and guest speakers. Participants engage in a design-oriented project to apply learned concepts. Lodging, meals, and course materials are provided free of charge, making it a comprehensive college-prep experience focused on science and engineering.
