About this camp
High school students interested in natural resources can develop leadership skills through this residential program in Lexington, KY. The Kentucky Forest Leadership Program offers a week-long, hands-on learning experience focused on nature, specifically forests, trees, insects, water, and wildlife. Participants select from three tracks: Forestry (tree/plant identification, forest management, soil/water quality, fire management), Entomology (insect identification, collection, ecology), or Wildlife (sampling, identification, and management techniques). This intensive program is held at the University of Kentucky’s Robinson Forest.
Past sessions
Students can start arriving on Sunday, June 7 at 3 p.m. for dinner at 5:30 p.m. Parents and guardians are invited to join on Friday, June 12, at 10 a.m. for forest management presentations.
