Children aged 5–13 engage in outdoor, nature-based learning at the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center in Holderness, NH. This program utilizes the Science Center's 200-acre campus, featuring diverse ecosystems like fields, forests, streams, and ponds, all set beside the Squam Lakes. Participants develop curiosity about local wildlife and ecosystems. Activities are designed to deepen understanding of New Hampshire’s natural world, emphasizing hands-on experiences and time spent on trails. The Live Animal Exhibit Trail, featuring non-releasable native New Hampshire animals, is integrated into the educational programming. This nature-focused program aims to foster a lifelong connection to the natural environment through direct engagement with the region's flora and fauna.

Assist visitors in getting started with the iNaturalist application to record live plant and wild animal data during August. Youth aged 14 and 15 may apply if accompanied by an adult.
