The Grand Rapids Junior Sailing Association (GRJSA) offers sailing classes for youth (ages 7+) and adults at the Grand Rapids Yacht Club on Reeds Lake. Programs for youth range from Intro to Sailing for beginners, to Level 1 Partner Sailing, Level 2 Single-handed Sailing, Learn to Race, Girls Only Sailing Camp, and 420 Sailing Camp. The emphasis is on developing boat handling and safety skills through activities and informal competitions. GRJSA also supports high school interscholastic sailing and a race team. Tuition primarily covers operating costs, with donations funding capital improvements and new boats. All instructors are US Sailing certified.
