Learn sailing fundamentals and advanced techniques with Friends of Belmar Harbor in Belmar, NJ. This day program for ages 7-17 teaches participants to rig, tack, and race in Optimists and 420s on Shark River. Certified instructors use US Sailing methods, grouping students by age and ability to ensure effective skill development. Key features include Adaptive Sailing (Sailability) for all abilities, a Competitive Race Team for teens, and kayaking expeditions to explore the Shark River Basin. Green Fleet is the gateway to the world of Opti racing. The group sails local regattas and sailor must have their own boat.
