About this camp
Learn sailing fundamentals and advanced techniques at the Fairhope Junior Yacht Club in Fairhope, AL. Our summer programs cater to various age groups, from Bay Buddies (ages 5-7) exploring the bay to Optimist fleet participants (ages 7-12) mastering basic sailing. Older sailors (over 12 and 105 lbs) can join the 420 fleet to develop high school and college-level skills. Training covers essential boat parts, knot tying, weather interpretation, and safety protocols. All instruction is delivered by US Sailing Certified coaches, ensuring a structured and educational environment. Racing fundamentals are integrated into the curriculum for those interested in competitive sailing. Year-round clinics are also available to support continuous skill development.
