About this camp
Cranbrook Institute of Science offers on-site Explore Camps, turning curious children into scientists through hands-on experiments, STEAM education, and engaging activities. Programs include Summer Explore Camps for students in Kindergarten through Grade 3, with some camps and weeks available for Grades 4-8. Winter and Spring Explore Camps are designed for Grades 1-3, spotlighting themes like archaeology. Attendees utilize the campus and museum as their laboratory. Day camps run daily from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The Institute also provides occasional Space Science Overnights and Meteor Shower Overnights, where participants can set up camp among the exhibits after programs, with snacks and a late-night movie included.
