About this camp
Located in Crystal Falls, MI, the Iron County Youth Camp functions as a summer place for young people, with traditions spanning over 70 years. Daily activities begin with reveille and end with taps, and meals commence and conclude with a song. Programming includes swimming, boating, hiking, wilderness camping, and crafts. Camp activities feature archery, arts and crafts, cabin life, nature exploration, and music. Campers also participate in flag ceremonies, picnics, and dance events. Waterfront activities offer American Red Cross swimming lessons, boating techniques and safety instruction, and free swim periods. This youth camp hosts nearly 800 campers from various locations, including the continental United States, Africa, Central, and South America. It is characterized as a place that fosters good manners, morals, and self-respect, as well as respect for others.
