About this camp
High school students aged 14-18 can immerse themselves in arts training during the Illinois FAA Summer Intensive in Champaign, IL. This weeklong program allows participants to select a specific arts track for concentrated study. Sessions run Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.–4:30 p.m., focusing on various disciplines within the arts. Instruction is provided by College of Fine and Applied Arts faculty members, graduate students, and recent alumni. Outside of daily training, participants engage in organized evening activities like bowling, ice skating, Green Street shopping, movies on the Quad, and campus tours. These structured options provide social opportunities and a chance to explore the campus environment. Students reside in on-campus residence halls for the duration of the program, offering a full college experience within a supervised setting. The program emphasizes focused artistic development for high schoolers exploring their creative interests.
