About this camp
The 35th Edition Aspen Shortsfest focuses on film education for youth. This program, based in Aspen, Colorado, utilizes film to encourage critical thinking and discussion through its Film Educates initiative. Programming is designed to engage young people with age-appropriate movies and related conversations, deepening their understanding and appreciation of cinema.

Past sessions
One-week immersive filmmaking camp at TACAW in Willits. Ages 10–13. Campers use professional equipment to write, shoot and produce their own short films alongside peers. 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM daily. Registration opens February 23.
Learn more / RegisterHands-on week of animation filmmaking at the Red Brick Center for the Arts in Aspen. Ages 10–13. Campers create original stop-motion stories using Claymation, cut-out animation and more, guided by professional filmmakers. 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM daily. Registration opens March 2.
