About this camp
Elevate problem-solving and critical thinking skills through chess training at the U.S. Chess Center in Silver Spring, MD. This program is designed for students in Grades K-12, focusing on developing independent thought rather than rote memorization. Our nationally certified instructors teach the fundamentals and advanced strategies of chess, fostering creativity and a love for learning. Students will gain self-confidence and enhance social skills in a structured learning environment. The curriculum emphasizes analytical approaches to challenges, directly benefiting academic success. Participants learn to achieve accomplishments through earned effort and strategic reasoning. Classes are available during school, after school, and on weekends, providing flexible options for students to engage with and master the game of chess.
