About this camp
S.T.E.A.M. Academy in Ames, IA, provides a focused STEAM program for ages 11-18. This day program emphasizes Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics, designed to prevent cognitive regression and develop social skills. It supports all students, including specialized attention for autistic participants through its inclusive structure. The program offers both Classic and Express classrooms, the latter providing individualized support for autistic youth. Participants engage in physical activity and gross motor skill practice, culminating in Field Trip Fridays. This structured program fosters education and skill development in a supportive environment.
